Our Sept. 25/08 Meeting:

1. Discussion of what people are working on at the moment or want to work on.

2. Charity fund raiser …to include the guild? What charity? Food Bank was suggested.What size? Smaller pieces...Maybe a silent auction of pieces at the guild or the next quilt show donated by members.

3. Quiltart display at the next quilt show.Three years away..

4. hand back postcards…do we have a final amount of money handed in??? We are close to $1000.

The Quilt Art Group will be hosting a pot luck dinner on November 13 at James St. Place for Janet Rice Bredin who will be presenting her trunk show that afternoon at guild and then doing a workshop the following day at the Sportsplex.

Assignment for November: Take the colour that you have the most of in your stash (may not be your favourite colour) and make something that is monochromatic using all shades and tints of the colour(…also find one fabric in your stash that you wish you did not own and study why you do not like it (use the colour wheel) and bring it with you in November for discussion…and maybe give it away
